About the opportunity 

Are you motivated by the chance to head outdoors driving one of our big red trucks to deliver for customers? As an Australia Post Truck Driver you’ll be the face of our trusted business, at the heart of your community and connecting Australians every single day. You might not be working from home, but you’ll be on the road as a staple of your community, and it doesn’t get better than that!

 

About you

  • Have the flexibility to work a 24x7 rotating roster
  • Providing exceptional customer service on the road
  • Safely loading your truck with mail cages and parcels for your deliveries, including scanning and offloading
  • Completing your own daily vehicle safety check
  • Driving our iconic trucks between our operational centres and customers, for larger scale deliveries and pick-ups
  • Returning to our operational centres to unload pick-ups 

 

You’ll also need 

  • Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Hold a valid HR (Heavy Rigid) Truck Licence
  • Highly desired but not mandatory:  Valid LF Forklift Licence
  • Be safety-focused and willing to provide a driving history report, undergo a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening and national police checks.
  • You’re a passionate person that enjoys working in a busy operations environment, who loves variety in your daily role and being a team player.
  • You enjoy connecting with others in the community to support us to deliver on time, and like never before.

  • Enjoy a 12% superannuation contribution p.a. and the opportunity for a $31.71 casual rate plus 15% - 30% shift penalty loading along with a daily tonnage allowance
