Decipha is a core business within the Product & Innovation division of Australia Post. We provide Business Process Outsource (BPO) services for major commercial and government organisations. We are Market leaders in Digital transformation and Mailroom services. Our solutions are be-spoke with advanced digital services which capture, interpret, process and deliver images and Meta data via many channels.

What does the role involve?

As the General Manager, Decipha, you will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and management of Australia Post’s Decipha product portfolio.  

This is an integral role within the leadership team, reporting directly to the GM Identity, Payments and Financial Services, you will be focused on ensuring the sustainability of the business through the delivery of valued solutions, along with supporting the delivery of the product roadmaps associated to the payments platform business within Australia Post Group.

Additionally, the role will:

  • Define and implement the Decipha Product Portfolio strategy and value proposition that drives revenue, EBIT growth, improved customer experience and advocacy and market share;
  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for new and existing products, this includes proactive management to exit and simplify products to remove product overlaps and complexity;
  • Lead and implement best practice design thinking, agile and iterative design techniques in line with our commercialisation processes and framework.
  • Identify partnering and inorganic opportunities that support and accelerate the enterprise and CX&DT Strategy.

Let’s talk about you! You will ideally have:

  • Significant experience in product development and general management, in growing revenue, process or other business services;
  • Deep industry experience across the Mail product regulatory environment and commercial landscape;
  • Demonstrated experience in leveraging customer insights to build and develop tailored, innovative and differentiated customer solutions;
  • Experience across sales, product management, operations, channel management and marketing to understand end to end value chain;
  • Proven experience in developing and executing organic and inorganic business strategies;
  • Overseeing product pricing strategies and in-life product performance e.g. sales, margin, churn, volume;
  • Management of the P&L of a product line or vertical experience interpreting complex market analysis, research and feedback relating to customer segments;
  • Extensive knowledge of key domestic and international market drivers, industry players and latest developments within the Mail industry;
  • Partnering with complex 3rd parties to bring products and services to market;
  • Working with Australia Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), Industry bodies and partners;

You will also be known for your adept communication, influencing and negotiation skills and complex selling & crafting compelling strategies will come naturally to you.
