We’re delivering for the environment, for our communities, for our customers and for our people. We’re moving forward and we want you to come along for the ride.

    About the opportunity

The purpose of this role is to be the single point of accountability for a portfolio of our small to medium business customers.

    What you’ll deliver with us

As our Account Manager you’ll work with and support a portfolio of approximately 250 customers. The role has end-to-end ownership of its customer accounts, working with the NSW sales team and reporting into the Sales Manager.

    You’ll also

    • Develop and implement customer-centric strategic account plans to effectively prioritise sales effort, protect existing revenue, and ensure a deliberate approach to maximising revenue growth of AP’s medium business accounts.
    • Manage account relationships by leading regularly planned sales calls with Senior Executive level stakeholders to explore pain points and ensure an excellent customer experience.
    • Engage with customers on key retention activities through the full lifecycle of the customer contract, including renewing existing contracts, conducting annual price reviews, and reviewing surcharge compliance.
    • Identify and qualify opportunities within customer accounts to cross sell multi-product and/or complex solutions, drawing on Sales and Solutions Specialists as required to build, propose, and close these new business contracts.
    • Document all sales and account management activity in Salesforce to provide AP’s sales enablement functions (e.g. Sales Operations, Segment Development, etc.) with quality data to develop appropriate improvement strategies and initiatives.

    About you

You’re someone who has experience with and enjoys sales. You have a positive attitude towards work. You have a willingness to learn and progress and most of all you love building strong relationships.

    You’ll also need

    • Experience in face-to-face selling of standardised B2B solutions to small and medium business customers including identifying, qualifying, proposing, and closing sales opportunities.
    • Demonstrated experience applying portfolio management strategies for an allocation of small to medium business customers.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated commercial acumen.

    How we’ll deliver for you

    • Flexible work arrangements (hybrid model of working at home and in the office)
    • Generous sales incentive scheme
    • Collaborative team environment
    • Manage a portfolio of your own clients
    • Work for an iconic company!

We also will invest in you for the long-term, encouraging growth through delivering on our values of trust, inclusivity, empowerment, and safety. We’ll help you develop your skills and steer along a career path that works for you.

Be part of a culture where everybody feels they belong, are valued, and can bring their authentic self to work every day
