About the role

As a Strategy Analyst you will be responsible for driving the development and delivery of the Australia Post enterprise strategy, as well as being an integral part of supporting the team on major initiatives and strategies, and the planning and delivery of organisational transformation.

This role will see you working hand in hand with your colleagues to develop strategic initiatives alongside building strategic capabilities across the broader enterprise – you will become one of the enterprise leaders in strategic thinking.

What will you be doing?

  • Support the identification and framing of specific problems for Australia Post; structure the problem and identify and conduct the right analyses to solve the problem
  • Contribute to the development of project hypotheses, storylines and high impact presentations
  • Support the development of key inputs for leadership reports and working sessions, including papers for the Board, Executive Team and other forums.
  • Perform quantitative modelling and analysis of financial and non-financial data (e.g. market and competitor trends and dynamics, cost analysis, profitability analysis)
  • Develop and strengthen relationships, expectations and trust with project stakeholders and sponsors across various levels of the organisation.

 You will have:

  • Experience in undertaking quantitative and financial business analysis, extracting insights, particularly in areas of ambiguity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels in the organisation, engaging and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business / Commerce, Economics, Law, Engineering or other relevant field, top grades highly regarded.
  • Up to two years’ experience in a strategy role (e.g. management consulting, investment banking, in a corporate strategy role) or a broad business role (e.g. commercial/product, grad program).
