What does the role involve?

The Senior Manager, Customer Engagement & Events, plays a leading role in the development and delivery of key strategic initiatives that drives customer and industry engagement in support of our Business & Government growth strategy. A key focus of this 12 Month Fixed Term Contract role is to leverage Australia Post’s existing presence within the market across various industries, to drive greater awareness of our business capability through sponsorships, industry associations, events, conferences and bespoke customer engagement activities. 

The role will specifically: 

  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the customer engagement and events program, evolving existing programs and reviewing new initiatives and in market opportunities
  • Conceptualise, build and deliver in-person, virtual and hybrid events, with a focus on end to end customer experience, process, execution and go to market
  • Work with key partners to create innovative activation opportunities, to leverage industry sponsorships and association memberships
  • Lead a proactive approach to managing external stakeholder relationships - including sponsor and industry partners, strategic suppliers and other key stakeholders

What are the key responsibilities?

  • Support the Customer Engagement & Events Lead in the development and implementation of an integrated engagement plan in support of Australia Posts’ growth strategy and revenue aspirations
  • Focus on the delivery of memorable activations, events and experiences, that drives advocacy and relevance to our business customers
  • Develop creative event campaigns leveraging internal and external channels to maximise event exposure, audience reach and engagement, whilst maximising investment
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to create program narratives and key content themes, leveraging business content strategy
  • Participate and engage with the team in development, innovation and brainstorming sessions to help contribute new ideas or processes to events
  • Identify opportunities for positioning Australia Post as a thought leader within new and existing markets
  • Partner with key stakeholders from Communications, Strategy teams, Sales, Product and EGM’s to drive new revenue opportunities

What are we looking for?

  • 5 + years marketing experience
  • Proven track record of developing, managing and implementing sponsorship and events strategy
  • Experience in leveraging customer insights to contribute to the development of tailored, innovative and differentiated customer solutions
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Strong commercial acumen, creativity and initiative
  • Experience in working with multiple suppliers/ stakeholders, and in a tightly regulated environment
  • Experience in managing team members at a Marketing Coordinator level
