Customer Experience and Digital? 

The purpose of Customer Experience and Digital is to create products that people love and trust, while delivering a sustainable future for Australia Post. The business unit is responsible for managing and transforming our enterprise products, innovation and digital capability. The  five key areas that Customer Experience and Digital is responsible for include Customer Services, Digital and Data, Data Science, Identity Products & Services and Payments & Financial Services with Portfolio Strategy, Innovation and Engineering providing technical expertise across these portfolios.

What will I be doing in the role?

You are someone who can think strategically about architecture, as well as being able to deep-dive as required.  You will be developing and enhancing existing architecture for our product roadmap, and you will also be playing a major role in championing a replatform into the cloud.  You will bring your passion working closely with others, both technical and non-technical, to continue building out our roadmaps, both technical and product focused. You will ensure alignment of these architecture deliverables with overall enterprise technology strategies, blueprints, and roadmaps, while also addressing the business and customer needs of the programs and projects.  You will also contribute to estimations as required.

Major responsibilities: 

  • Develops potential solutions based on existing Post systems, packages or custom developed solutions as appropriate.
  • Integration with existing Australia Post and third party systems using established integration patterns. 
  • Alignment to Post’s architectural standards and strategies. 
  • Technical evaluation of requirements and assessments for RPIs, RFPs and Proof of concepts. 
  • Identifies a variety of solution options and drives a collaborative process to engage relevant stakeholders to analyse the relative pros and cons of each option, and eventually decide on the right option to proceed with.
  • Develops the Preliminary Solution Architecture key deliverable for the Evaluation phase.

Critical Experience Required: 

  • Broad understanding of SecurePay business.
  • Awareness of Payment Gateway and eCommerce platforms preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the information technology industry
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team of Information Technology professionals in a complex organisation.
  • Ability to present complex technical and operational information in simple, business language.
  • Work with other members of the Architecture Team to build service delivery capability.
