Product and Innovation?

The purpose of Product & Innovation is to create products that people love and trust, while delivering a sustainable future for Australia Post. The business unit is responsible for managing and transforming our enterprise products, innovation and digital capability. The  five key product areas that Product & Innovation is responsible for include Parcel and Express Services, International Products & Services, Mail Services & Decipha, Identity Products & Services and Payments & Financial Services with Portfolio Strategy, Innovation and Engineering providing technical expertise across these portfolios.

What does the role involve?

Responsible for overseeing end to end bank branch closure program and assisting with channel development in order to achieve commercial obligations and customer outcomes associated with Bank@Post Program portfolio. Led by strong customer insights as well as leveraging market and industry knowledge this role is focused on the development and execution of short to mid-term program strategies, using agile development methodologies, to deliver key customer and retail objectives.

This position is a key leadership role within the organisation, reporting to the Senior Product Manager for Bank@Post

What will you be accountable for? 

  • Develop and execute overall bank branch closure support program with engagement from bank account managers, retail network managers, and business cases to support program related investments.
  • Manage the deployment of bank branch closure support collateral and training where required.
  • Oversee and influence the quality of operational program management activities including, issue management, business rules, policy maintenance and supporting service standards.
  • Quantify market and program opportunities through strong segment and channel analysis.
  • Provide budget management and reporting for respective program of work. 
  • Provide demand, revenue and cost forecasts for associated program (s), in line with Australia Posts’ Financial reporting processes. 

Expected experience:

  • Proven experience in program development, delivery, engagement and execution in retail network.
  • Proven experience / involvement in developing ‘leading edge' commercially sound customer/program strategies.
  • Demonstrable experience in leveraging existing customer, financial and market data to generate meaningful insights. 
  • Program design, development and implementation.
  • Program planning including knowledge of industry, market trends and competitive landscape
  • Strong experience of collaborating with a complex and multi-tiered stakeholder group in order to realise commercial outcomes.
