What does the role involve?
Sitting in our wider Safety team with a dual reporting line to “General Manager of Safety & Wellbeing”, Rod Maule and the “Head of Group Safety, Wellbeing & Governance”, Kim Grady, you will be a key member of the the Covid-19 Response leadership team. This role will have accountability to mobilise, manage and have oversight of all Covid-19 response activities across Australia Post. Supported by the “Program Manager – Contact Tracing” and the “Program Manager Covid 19 Operations”, this role is responsible for leading, planning and managing the day day-to-day activities and resources as it relates to Australia Post’s response to Covid-19.
This role will be a critical support to the Senior Leadership team in Safety, providing somebody with dedicated capacity to have oversight of the various initiatives, allowing for senior leaders to turn focus onto managing strategic aspects of Covid-19 and how as an organisation we will co-exist with Covid in the future. In partnership with the business, the National Manager will provide operational leadership and governance for implementing COVID-19 requirements and provide an escalation pathway where non-compliance is identified. Working across both re-active & proactive measures to prevent the spread of COVID -19 and keep our workforce safe, they will assist with communicating health advice around COVID-19 in the workplace.
The Covid 19 response at Australia Post like everywhere is evolving and the National Manager needs to demonstrate the ability to manage complex conflicting work demands and meet demanding timelines.
This role requires a broad remit of skills including project management, change, stakeholder management, business partnering, an understanding of operational workforces and analytical skills. The role requires somebody who is able to be agile, responsiveness and problem solve.
