Position Purpose:

Reporting to the Technical Team Leader, the Technician will under limited direction, undertake maintenance activities and support operation activities for Parcel Sortation system, both individually and within teams.

 

Noted: The Electrical Maintenance Technician role is based on day shift, start 7:00am to 3:00pm, working 5 days a week, and may be expected to work discretionary hours, change shift patterns and/or do overtime to provide maintenance and operational coverage.

 

Major Accountabilities:

Ensure safety is always foremost in all activities.

Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with Australia Post Occupational Health and safety Policies and Diversity Policy.

Perform Maintenance activities including corrective, predictive and preventative maintenance as per work instructions and in consideration of operational requirements.

Diagnose and correct faults, including complex faults, in Parcel Sortation equipment and system to ensure compliance with engineering and operational standards and WHS policies and guidelines.

Ensure all plant maintenance and material maintenance transactions, including planning, are accurately recorded using MEX or equivalent.

Work as part of a team within the technical team, operations and other service groups to achieve high levels of reliability.

Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.

Previous experience in building mechanical services.

Other Technical duties as directed.

 

Minimum Qualification Requirement:

A current NSW Electrical License (Certificate III in Electro technology, Systems Technician or Equivalent)
