What does the role involve?

The Forecast & Replenishment Manager is responsible for the management of all outbound planning activities, to ensure that all replenishment requirements for corporate retail outlets, are completed timely, efficiently and accurately within the optimal cost structure.

This role leads a team of analysts to support the replenishment of retail corporate outlet inventory guided by defined inventory policy objectives and performance metrics of the Retail Merchandise business unit. This person will work closely with multiple product groups such as BG&I (Business, Government & International), Channel Inventory team, Domestic and International Supply Chain teams, Retail Merchandise Category teams, Philatelic and external vendors.

What are the key responsibilities?

  • Manage the replenishment of store inventories in accordance with defined inventory policy objectives and performance metrics
  • Ensure that the correct levels of replenished store inventories are being held in the right place, at the right time, in the right quantity to meet customer service requirements and maximise sales revenue
  • Ensure that the integrity of replenishment master data is maintained to high standards and establish specialised analytical methodologies and tools to deliver accurate store forecasting and replenishment results
  • Prioritise forecasting and replenishment exceptions and implement corrective actions to resolve to finality are undertaken and completed in a timely and proactive manner
  • Provide expert advice, direction, guidance and training to replenishment analysts to support the successful execution of daily/weekly/monthly forecasting, replenishment tasks/reports and ongoing development of technical capabilities

What are we looking for?

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of typical retail industry supply chain functions, processes and systems that support inventory management and fulfillment
  • 5 years + experience in inventory forecasting and replenishment systems, tools and methodologies
  • Excellent planning, analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, and initiating corrective actions in a prompt and timely manner
  • Relevant supply chain experience in a retailing environment
  • Some experience delivering operational and planning outcomes through exposure to other supply chains and organisations
