Make a positive contribution to the management and improvement of regional postal services in this Northern Territory community. This role will have a massive impact on the successful daily operations of Australia Posts delivery centre located in beautiful Katherine, an area that combines the outback and the tropics.

So what’s involved?

  • Influence, lead and support to a team of 7
  • Guide team to success and review and implement delivery improvement plans including work schedules, task allocation and operational efficiency gains
  • Supervise and lead change initiatives and operational efficiency programs and ensure consistent, clear communication to support the change programs. You’ll also evaluate and review achievement of strategic objectives
  • Have your say and make a difference within the community by becoming a representative of the business
  • Safety is our number one priority so you’ll ensure your team are always adhering to safe work practices and your focus on a mindfulness safety’ culture will really impact those in your team to share your mindset
  • You’ll also be in charge of ensuring compliance across the delivery operation

We’re looking for a passionate people person who brings experience in leading a team (preferably within an operations environment) and managing priorities to achieve successful outcomes, particularly in a regional location with minimal local support. You’ll also have a professional and respectful attitude toward all customers, both internal and external. While your positive attitude and recognition that our customers are at the core of our business success drives you.

  • Supervisory experience within a busy operational environment where there is pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to lead a small diverse group in daily operations
  • Strong problem solving ability with ability to make autonomous decisions
