What does the role involve?

Reporting to the Finance Manager, StarTrack you’ll be responsible for providing financial management, in-depth analysis, reporting, and business partnering for the StarTrack Product Group.  This will include analysing product and profitability, budget & planning preparation, month-end reporting tasks and ad hoc analysis, with a focus on cost management initiatives & activities. These roles will be predominantly supporting the Regional Operations Managers and providing on-site financial partnering. This role will also see you

• assist in the preparation of monthly performance reports for StarTrack products and clearly and concisely articulate key underlying trends and financial insight
• prepare and analysis the budgets and forecasts for StarTrack products. Monitor and report on progress throughout the year
• analyse the overall trend analysis for StarTrack products and concisely articulate key findings
• provide business partnering to StarTrack Management
• analyse the costs and profitability to interpret and communicate, through a detailed understanding of the operating network direct cost drivers and indirect and overhead cost allocations
• ensure all initiatives are incorporated and tracked on a monthly basis
• monitor the impact of financial accounting requirements including impairment and take or pay
• insightful value-adding commentary on monthly and quarterly forecasting results

What are we looking for

• Minimum 5 years experience in professional services and/or industry-related role.
• Membership of CPA Australia, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, or equivalent
• Strong business acumen, analytical, problem-solving, data manipulation skills, including Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
