Deliveries Analytics Manager

Delivering 1.5 million parcels a day, having a workforce of over 70,000, and running Australia’s largest retail network - our business generates 1 billion data points a day from scanners, sorting machines, payroll, retail POS, finance systems, and vehicle GPS. We receive close to 2 million inbound customer contacts a year and over 2 million NPS surveys.

 

Our Deliveries Analytics team partners closely with business stakeholders to solve problems using advanced analytical techniques including statistical analysis to produce analytical solutions (models, visualisations, findings) and other interventions that improve decision making and business performance.

 

What does the role involve?

Reporting National Analytics & Enablement Manager for the Deliveries Business, you’ll be tasked to evaluate, reengineer and improving processes and systems to achieve performance improvement for our business and to ensure a competitive edge in future markets. You’ll work closely with business decision-makers to develop and deliver data driven solutions that target better customer, people, or commercial outcomes.

 

You'll also engage with the business on strategic initiatives delivering rapid analytical insights that improve project decision making and business impact.

 

You’ll also have the responsibility to: -

  • Model and maintain data while also setting up self-service analytics for the wider business
  • Proactively engaging with the business to define business problems, devise analytical solutions that meet business needs, and satisfy desired behavioural change and business outcomes
  • provide thought leadership and innovation advice in the information and analytics domain to business and team members
  • articulate a clear vision of the future of information and analytics (and benefits) to the business and team members

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or other quantitative disciplines
  • Advanced experience with SQL statistical programming, data manipulation and visualisation tools applied to very large data sets
  • Experience with GCP services for data integration, access, querying, and analysis
  • Experience with Tableau for data reporting and dashboard delivery
  • Experience designing, building, training, testing, deploying integrating and monitoring  analytics models
