We’re Australia Post

You might think you know us, but we’re transforming. In this rapidly evolving commercial landscape, we’re changing too. We're currently on the lookout for HR Truck Drivers to join our Transport team to help deliver Christmas to Australia.

Help shape our tomorrow

We’re looking for truck drivers across the country  to join Australia’s largest delivery network. In the lead-up to our busy holiday season, our truck drivers are critical to keeping things moving.

That’s why our fleet is state of the art, providing you an efficient and more comfortable ride. Find out more about what we look for when we’re choosing vehicles here.

You’ll need

  • Both your HC and forklift license to be eligible to apply.

  • Experience driving heavy rigid trucks and forklifts. (We know some roles require a forklift licence but not experience - this isn’t one of them)

  • Less than 4 demerit points in the last 3 years, with no suspensions or cancellations of your licence within the past 5 years.

  • To be comfortable getting in and out of the truck all day. Our trucks are tautliners, so moving the curtains back and forth all day will give your arms a workout too.

What you’ll be doing

Love the freedom of being out on the road? Keen to switch off from work at the end of your shift?

On a rotating roster, shifts as a truck driver at Australia Post could you see you:

  • Starting your day using load shifting equipment to lift unit load devices onto your truck.

  • Navigating your way to each drop.

  • Keeping safety front of mind at all times - whether it’s identifying a loose ball joint during your daily vehicle check, or handling our trucks securely out on the road.

You’ll get the chance to have a real impact on our business. By harnessing your expert driving skills and commitment to getting the job done, you’ll ensure every drop arrives safely, securely and on time.

We believe investing in our people is good for business

That’s why we have a dedicated career coaching team for our employees. And we know that your life outside of work matters. That’s why we have a culture that promotes a genuine work/life balance.

We also offer:

    • Great casual rates which include shift penalty and overtime rates
  •
    • Full time hours on a casual contract for 12 weeks.
  •
    • Allowances including meal and tonnage (based on heavy vehicle)
  •
    • Above industry standard superannuation rate of 12%
  •
    • A safe, quality and modern working environment
