What does the role involve?

As a Senior HR Business Partner, you’ll provide high-level HR business partnering advisory to multiple GM’s and their leadership teams. This role is generalist in nature and therefore required to provide broad advisory to leadership teams across the full spectrum of the HR domain, partnering with HR specialists to design and deliver fit for purpose outcomes for the business.  On a weekly basis, this role will see you

  • partner with GM’s and their leadership teams to identify people priorities or initiatives that require program management. (changed order to have this one at tops)
  • contribute significantly to the development & delivery of a strategic people program that is reflective of the business needs and the broader Enterprise agenda
  • lead delivery of multiple initiatives, working collaboratively with other areas of HR across both annual and ad hoc activities
  • provide ongoing partnership to GM’s and their leadership teams on people-related matters
  • lead and drive workforce components of a business unit change
  • collaborate with other areas of the HR model (e.g. COE, HR Operations, and Planning & Enablement) to ensure the delivery of Enterprise agenda items in line with the people plan (e.g. annual cyclical activities), including influencing the allocation of resources to ensure business requirements are delivered

What are we looking for?

  • Solid (7+ years) experience in the HR function, ideally within business partnering roles
  • Demonstrated ability to establish highly trusted advisor relationships with senior leaders
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering specific initiatives aligned to a people plan within a complex matrixed organisation, and HR outcomes leveraging on a complex HR service model (people operations, CoE’s etc.)
  • Multi-discipline and broad HR experience that drives strong levels of commercial understanding and a clear appreciation of key business drivers
  • Strong experience managing a range of employment relations cases for both award and non-award employees
  • Exposure to an industrial/unionised business environment – understanding and interpreting HR policies and industrial awards
