The Talent Acquisition Manager, Transport is part of the Extended Leadership team in the Talent Acquisition Team. You'll be accountable for the operational and strategic management of recruitment services to the Australia Post and StarTrack transport business nationally. Leading a team of seven consultants, your team provides a best in class experience for candidates and business stakeholders, as well as working with the Senior TA Manager, to drive continuous improvements and the strategic agenda for recruitment. This is an exciting opportunity to lead an experienced team and be part of a function that is really making waves in our organisation.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead, plan and manage the delivery of strategic and operational initiatives, often in partnership with colleagues across TA or HR
  • Manage and facilitate the development of TA projects, including the development of idea briefs and business cases
  • Identify and manage opportunities for change, innovation and improvement and lead the programs and people through these processes
  • Lead the Transport team to deliver end to end recruitment services and ensure outcomes meet the resourcing requirements, expectations and strategies priorities of the business
  • Influence and build strong partnerships / relationships with key contributors, stakeholders and sponsors across all stakeholder groups / levels
  • Developing reporting and analysis for the business to inform and drive decision making
  • There is some travel involved to attend meetings, develop business knowledge and relationships with the  facilities across the country that you and the team support.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Management experience is essential, but we need more than a manager, we need a strong leader that leads by example and creates a positive and collaborative team environment to drive performance and ownership
  • Demonstrable experience driving continuous improvement, projects and change in a complex matrixed business
  • A strong operational recruitment background in high volume environments - blue collar recruitment experience is ideal, but not essential
  • A proactive and resilient mindset, because there will be challenges that need to be overcome and problems that need to be solved
  • Exceptional communication skills and an ability to effectively foster effective relationships
