What does the role involve?

The Manager, Major Government Services Programs will own the development and implementation of a pursuit and capture strategy to win business within major government programs and will leverage key stakeholders and subject matter experts across Australia Post to achieve this. The role will have end-to-end accountability for winning opportunities within government.

  • Develop and implement a Strategic Plan for Partnering with major government service programs to deliver Government Services.
  • Design and implement strategic engagement initiatives to consult with, inform, educate, and foster key relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Lead a Sales Execution Plan to effectively coordinate and prioritise virtual team effort and ensure a deliberate approach to identifying, pursuing and winning business.
  • Provide insight to internal stakeholders to optimise solution road maps and influence the evolution of services that are required for AP to be a relevant partner for government services.

What experience will you have?

We’re looking for candidates that have extensive experience selling complex and emerging solutions to large government customers with a strong understanding of government budgeting, procurement and change processes.

  • Extensive experience in government at a Senior Executive level, with a strong understanding of government budgeting, procurement and change processes.
  • Significant experience selling complex and emerging solutions to large government customers including identifying, qualifying, proposing and closing sales opportunities.
  • Strong proposal writing and delivery experience.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen.
