What does the role involve?

As Finance Business Partner, your role will be responsible for the financial management and business performance of Delivery operations within the eCommerce Delivery Network. This will include preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts, tracking and reporting of business initiatives and their associated benefits, business partnering stakeholders and senior management to ensure they are provided with accurate and timely financial information to enable informed business decisions.


The role also has accountability in the following areas:-

  • Responsible for business partnering the Territory Managers on all financial related matters.
  • Develop strong working relationships with the client group to provide relevant commercial advice and insights in order to achieve customer and commercial outcomes.
  • Utilise analytical capability and commercial judgement to challenge and influence business decisions.
  • Full accountability for reporting, planning and forecasting, including state and depot level support.
  • Identify, analyse and report opportunities for efficiency improvement and cost management.
  • Provide regular insight around cost performance and monthly outlook.
  • Facilitate the development of projects/processes to enable the achievement of productivity and performance improvement across Transport.
  • Assess and review customer and product profitability pertaining to Transport costs.
  • Support Procurement and Senior Management during negotiations of contractor and supplier arrangements.


What are we looking for?

  • Demonstrated high level of financial, analytical, interpretive and problem solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate across a large organisation with many different stakeholders
  • Understanding of the eCommerce market and demonstrated experience working in a logistics business would be an advantage
  • Membership to an Accounting professional accreditation (CA/CPA)
  • You are prepared to travel intra-state (NSW & ACT) to meet with your stakeholders as and when required
