Senior Program Manager 

What an exciting role! Want to play a key part in transforming and shaping our network through leading operational infrastructure and automation (parcel and letter sorting) projects right at the forefront of our organisations growth? Interesting in driving change through exploring industry leading technology and solutions?   

Reporting to the General Manager - Infrastructure & Automation, the Senior Program Manager is responsible for leading, planning and managing the day-to-day activities and resources of the program of work to deliver new and renewed operational sites. You will produce business cases and then go onto deliver new operational sites and leading-edge solutions. You will strive to get a healthy return on the investment as you deliver the stated objectives in accordance to time, cost and quality constraints using effective logistic value chain critical thinking, program management processes and controls. 

What will you be doing? 

As the Senior Program Manager you’ll manage and administer the preparation and sign off for key program / project documentation to ensure alignment to the Network Plan, clarity of direction and responses to the delivery of key activities, deliverables and milestones. This includes preparing reports to the Program/Project Control Board and ensure effective resource management is undertaken so that projects and programs are resourced with the required expertise. 

Additionally, you’ll ensure the application of and adherence to effective business change management, leading to the adoption and utilisation of change to significantly enhance the realisation of business benefits (including stakeholder engagement and communication, training, impact assessment, process and organisation design) while ensuring commercial risk management, governance frameworks and accountabilities are defined and actively in place. 

Utilising your strong financial management experience, you will be responsible for budget expenditure forecast, benefit realisation targets etc. for effective management of resources to ensure financial targets are met 

As a business leader, you’ll provide leadership and direction to all direct reports, developing and promoting engagement and collaboration within the team and with stakeholders (including key suppliers), while also demonstrating positive consideration of safe operational outcomes, customer needs and efficient operations as driven by business requirements.

We’re a large and complex organisation so we need you to have great interpersonal skills, outstanding written and verbal communication skills and the ability to engage and influence both internal & external executive level stakeholders. 

The ideal candidate will have significant exposure to a major physical (building) infrastructure and/or sorter/automation projects, experience establishing program requirements and stakeholder input, managing multiple transformational sized projects with significant parameter changes throughout the project (e.g., changed and tight deadlines, competing and/or changing resource priorities, design changes) while also maintaining relationships at a senior level across different locations, divisions and cultures. 

Ideally, you’ll have a degree level qualification in Business, Logistics and Supply Chain and formal qualifications and expert level knowledge in Program Management.
