Job no: 53514110
Work type: Permanent Full Time
Location: VIC - Metro
Categories: Retail & Customer Service, Corporate Services
As we evolve, our Retail Outlets have been undergoing a significant physical transformation and you'll play a key role in that!
With over 4,000 Post Offices of varying formats, Australia Post continues to own and operate the largest retail network in Australia. These Post Offices perform a vital community service with a core offer in sending and receiving, but are also a hub for Government, financial and identity services as well as a retailer of relevant consumer and small business products (i.e. merchandise). To be successful in this multidimensional role, Australia Post relies on knowledgeable and friendly staff but also a fit-for-purpose Post Office network focused on delivering great customer experiences.
What does the role involve?
As a Senior Retail Outlet Designer you’ll have the chance to define our retail store designs (primary and secondary fitouts) supporting changes to the Post Office Network including new stores, refurbishment of existing stores, operational and industrial designs and make an impact across our retail environment! This is a phenomenal role where you'll develop design principles to underpin Australia Post’s new store design standard, toward a lower fit-out cost and national consistency of presentation for Australia Post’s corporate stores. This role does require travel to various sites.
So, what are we looking for? You’ll be a strong technical designer possessing an Architectural, Industrial Design or Interior Design Degree and the capability to work autonomously. Adept at concept design, you are able to think bigger-picture (a trait which is essential for this national role). We’d love to see a background in retail or shop fitting, with prior experience in an architectural firm also helpful. Knowledge of AutoCAD / Revit is important. You'll have led multiple projects at a time and able to achieve strict deadlines.
Benefits & Culture:
For us, a diverse, inclusive and enjoyable culture is the foundation for great work. It’s why we encourage applications from people of all ages, nationalities and cultures, and promote a flexible way of working that enables a genuine work-life balance.
