What does the role involve?

  • Lead a team of Revenue Officers and provide 2IC support to National Revenue Manager
  • Responsible for the supervision and development of the Revenue Hub staff charged with the accurate and complete billing of freight activities to StarTrack customers.
  • Ensuring all freight is billed in a timely manner across all sites, with appropriate controls implemented and constantly reviewed
  • Support the National Revenue Manager in ensuring all billing process of both electronic and manual consignment notes are for EOP in a timely, and cost efficient manner.
  • Contribute to target zero revenue leakage across the Revenue Hub functions.
  • Support the revenue recovery analyst in assisting with preventative measures to identified areas of revenue leakage
  • Work in conjunction with the National Revenue Manager in strong relationship building skills to keep informed of changes across the department and team
  • Identify opportunities or process changes across the revenue function, to help drive efficiency or revenue capture
  • Clear demonstration of problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated experience of managing multiple sites, and shifts, across multiple systems
  • Commercially minded in order to transform the existing offering, reducing cost to serve, whilst providing a better quality experience
  • Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly performance reports, update KPI’s and provide reports for National Revenue Manager

What experience will you have?

  • 5-10 years logistics, Revenue / Billing  management experience
  • Experience in the delivery of loss mitigation administration.
  • Proven experience in leading a team
  • Experience in communicating with and influencing customers via phone, email and letter.  Ability to use judgement and decision making skills when investigating and solving customer queries.
  • Intermediate PC skills including MS Office and Windows.
  • Knowledge of Accounting principles
  • Understanding of Accounts Receivable and Payable.
  • Sound experience in leading and coaching teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication/negotiation skills.
  • Capacity to investigate and solve problems.
  • Capacity to interact cordially and effectively with staff and customers of StarTrack.
  • Experience in identifying and implementing improvements
  • Advanced PC skills:  Detailed working knowledge and high level of competence with the full range of functionality of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Core financial system knowledge:  Working knowledge in relevant modules of PeopleSoft and TEAM
  • Finance & accounting skills:  Interpretation and application of accounting standards, policies and procedures
  • Credit Management experience and knowledge
