What's the job involve?

Under the leadership of an inspiring Executive Manager, you'll play a crucial part in our future by leading change activities for the implementation of key strategic programs sponsored by the Executive General Manager of Product and Innovation.

  • Follow Australia Post and industry best practice approaches in change management (Agile and Waterfall)
  • Identify key stakeholders across the program to ensure the effective design, planning and execution of a Stakeholder Engagement Plan
  • Undertake detailed change impact assessments, identifying the scope, scale and complexity of anticipated change associated with the program;
  • Follow and champion for appropriate application of change management methodologies, including Australia Post’s, Agile and industry best practices.
  • Develop of project and program change plans, taking into account specific BU considerations
  • Ensure communications and training strategy is prepared, maintained and executed.
  • Working with the program manager and stream leads to ensure integration of change management activities into the overall program/sprint plan;
  • Identifying, planning, tactically mobilising and deploying the implementation of change activities, across the entire Australia Post business, ensuring appropriate stakeholder engagement for deployment;
  • Conducting business change readiness assessments prior to roll-out to functional units, evaluating results and, as appropriate, identifying tasks necessary or propose actions / mitigations to ensure business readiness and implementing those tasks;
  • Using metrics to track adoption, utilisation and proficiency of individual and organisational changes;

What we're looking for:

  • Significant experience planning and delivering organisational change in the context of complex transformational change with a focus on people impacts
  • Ability to flex between the strategic thinking and the tactical planning required to manage the change
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships (including team members) across different locations, levels and divisions.
  • Experience in using Change Management methodologies and tools including metrics and analysis
  • Experience with Agile and/or Lean Change Management principles highly regarded
  • Experience developing communications
  • Experience in a consulting (internal or external) role
  • Experience in working in a fast-faced project environment with a knowledge of project management methodology
  • Willingness to be flexible and step outside of the traditional change management scope in order to get the job done (e.g. analysis, strategy, process improvement)
  • Advanced knowledge of Change management practices and principles
  • Understanding of recognised project management disciplines (e.g. PMBOK, Lean, Kanban)
  • Operational knowledge preferably in retail or got to market
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal
