This is a critical leadership role for a driven individual who has proven experience and success in leading & developing a team.  As one of our Duty Managers, you will lead a facility to achieve high level efficiencies while meeting regulatory requirements & business objectives. 


  • Manage the performance of an operational team, coaching and developing supervisors to lead engaged teams that are consistently achieving their required performance levels, business objectives & our Star Rules & Operations process standards
  • Lead a culture of safety that is consistent with our safety leadership values, role modelling and managing compliance to safety, health, environmental & CoR policies and procedures
  • Enable and deliver effective communications to the team (Toolbox talks, Team meetings) on matters such as business updates and changes, and reinforcement of operational practices and policies
  • Lead change initiatives and operational efficiency programs and ensure consistent, clear communication to support the change programs
  • Monitor and report on operational performance, compliance & costs, ensuring stakeholders and senior management receive timely updates & where necessary, corrective action plans, on significant performance variances & operational incidents

What you’ll need:

  • Experience in an operational management role, preferably from within the transport & logistics industry
  • Proven ability to develop, communicate and implement operational plans, budgets and service delivery and optimisation models
  • Experience monitoring & driving compliance with WHS & HR policies, procedures & CoR
  • Experience in managing and improving the performance of people by influencing, directing and motivating them to achieve objectives and targets
  • Experience in resolving conflict and difficult work situations
  • Experienced in applying Lean Six Sigma methodology would be advantageous
  • Experience analysing, formatting and presenting operational reports
  • Experience in accounts management
